day 26 - house party!!!

it was sunday house party at our house!!! first time all of us cooked so many things lor!
we invited our new found friends and some not so new friends... haha

this is fried wan ton in the process... mandy made the fillings and mok helped her wrap them... it was quite nice la... jus tt the skin we bought was a bit thick... i din know won ton so easy to make!

this is mandy's friend whom she got to know in nus when he was there for exchange... he hangs out with the ah peks at the woodlands coffeeshop near his flat so he knows alot abt singapore!!! haha... n he has a malaysian gf! he also chatted with us in singlish... which was somehow grammatically incorrect singlish... haha

i think the party was quite good cos everyone seemed to enjoy themselves and everyone got to know one another and exchanged contacts... being with fellow singaporeans in a foreign country makes us feel that this was a homely kind of party... and yup... made me forget to give my piggy morning call!

day 19 - 22

sunday was spent mugging... stayed at home the whole day :(

monday was spent at home most of the day... den lessons at nite... had a social cognition quiz

tuesday i ponned my first lesson... haha... no thanks to the piggy for egging me on! den 2 more lessons in the afternoon n evening... fell asleep several times during class!

wed is free day! i went to sch to buy subway card... n den studied abit n den went to dufferin mall to buy some food.... n went home to study again!!!! need to study in advance cos fri to sat gg to niagara and buffalo in the us to shop! sunday gg to have party at our house also.... anw i got 10/10 for social cognition quiz! haha...

day 18 - zoo! + high commissioners's dinner (free food)

day 17 - kensington market + chinatown + mother's dumplings!

today all of us except mandy had no sch.. so we went out to kensington market to walk ard... its a street with quite a lot of shops selling cheap/2nd hand/weird clothes and grocery... so there wasn't anything much to see n buy... den we walked to chinatown and walk up n down and up and down... before we hopped onto a street car tt took us to a station and then back again to the same place, cos we had time to spare b4 dinnertime. dinner was at mother's dumplings, and we met up with sherry's fren and her bf.... the dumplings were so so la... but considered v cheap liao... 4.99 for 12 boiled dumplings.. ahah... but we're poor la so anything is expensive.. den after dinner sherry's fren n bf took us on a night tour of our sch... the bf is v familiar with the history of the sch buildings... so we learnt quite a bit abt our sch building... some were used in good will hunting and mean girls... the oldest building was once burnt down... n ppl found a skeleton at one place... it was said tt person cheated on the wife or smth n the wife chopped his head off. by the end we were exhausted... yet we still walked summore down pub street, which is v near sch... n its so complicated... sherr's fren said she saw ppl making out in the street, n there are stabbing incidents also... dangerous lor.. i dun think i'll go there... dun like clubbing anw...

day 13 - day 16 - sch sch sch

monday was sch and tuesday was long day at sch! hai... den wed was spent sleeping in, den photocopying book, and cooking dinner... den thursday (today) is school again.... had a discussion on the virunga gorillas... you can check out this website... http://ngm.nationalgeographic.com/2008/07/virunga/jenkins-text and http://link.brightcove.com/services/player/bcpid1287043068?bctid=1312371912den the discussion everyone was quite involved... so its kind of nice... n me +ben met this girl who stayed in toronto damn long liao... so she asked if we were fr sg... haha... our accents v distinctive hor?? hai... alot of assignments...

anw i'm quite sad tt my gu po passed away... i've seen her since young n she's always alert despite her age... n tt she had so many cancer n such b4 she passed away is quite xintong la... i hope she passed away peacefully... im missing home quite a bit... n of cos i miss u alot too... hai... hope time passes faster too...

day 12 - toronto centre island~~

today i woke up early and was dragged literally to go jogging by mandy... haha... but it was a good workout cos i've been eating n not working out much.. i dowan to be fat!
after tt it was off to toronto island which i think is an island in within the ontario lake ( the biggest lake in the world i think). it's a bright sunny day and the place is sunny and windy, really good for couples to hold hands and take long strolls... :( ya but nonetheless we still managaed to enjoy ourselves quite a bit... although sherry was preoccupied with her bf who came up from US to visit for the weekend.

us on the ferry to the island... its like gg to ubin except the ferry is much much bigger and the ticket is $6.50 CAD...

and i saw this chow chow from the bridge and i went towards it where its owners were having picnic... he/she is v guai! and his/her coat is v nice to touch! looks like teddy bear lo... haha

me and mandy rented this bike while the others rented bicycles... haha... its acty tiring to cycle this thing cos its heavy!

after we returned our bikes (1 hr rent only), we saw this fat baby chuckling away!!! haha... v v cute!
at the beach... the sun was vv bright cos there wasn't much clouds in the sky unlike the past few days where it was gloomy and rainy...
this jetty immediately reminded me of bedok jetty even though its much shorter and smaller... i wanna go fishing with u again soon!!! i miss looking at ur happy expression when u catch fishes and hugging u when there's nothing to catch! haha...
and last but not least, there was a farm with some chickens, ducks, emu, ponies, donkeys, horses and PIGS~! this mother pig v big!!! got another father pig also... black n white one... where mandy pointed out to us its big balls! hahhahaa... scary hor... pigs can grow until so big...

the sun on my face and the wind in my hair... i'm missing home and i'm missing you.
